Murakami and Louis Vuitton take over the Grand Palais
Twenty years after their first meeting, Louis Vuitton reunites with Takashi Murakami for Art Basel Paris 2025. From October 23 to 26, the Japanese artist will take over the Balcon d’Honneur of the Grand Palais with a spectacular installation: an eight-meter-high lantern octopus, inspired by Chinese lanterns. The totem animal of the artist, the octopus transforms here into a luminous creature. Half-sculpture, half-lantern, it emits an almost hypnotic energy, between daydream and Japanese mythology. Under this ballet of colorful tentacles, Louis Vuitton presents the Arycapucines VII collection, eleven artist bags reflecting Murakami's universe. Smiling Flowers. Mr DOB. Superflat Panda. No doubt, the artisans of the House reinterpret the artist's icons with sculpted leather, meticulous embroidery, and 3D prints.
Nike Mind: neuroscience at your feet
What if the Swoosh could stimulate the brain through the feet? This is the promise of the Nike Mind platform, inaugurated by the Nike Mind 001 and Mind 002. After more than ten years of research in neuroscience, the sportswear brand unveils two silhouettes that do not just protect or cushion, but activate sensory receptors under the foot. The goal? To improve concentration, grounding, and mindfulness, before, during, and after effort. Each model incorporates 22 independent foam nubs, connected to a soft and water-resistant material, which transmits the texture of the ground and the rhythm of movement to the foot. While the Mind 001 focuses on comfort and practicality, the Mind 002 ensures support and enhanced sensations. The result: a unique sensory experience that awakens the senses, eliminates distractions, and enhances clarity. A new category of products to prepare, train, and recover athletes available from January 2026.
