Eight months after surprising everyone at the Paris Fashion Week, Comme des Garçons has finally launched its Air Jordan 11. Unveiled last January as part of Rei Kawakubo's Fall-Winter 2026 collection, this first collaboration with Jordan holds a special place in the history of the model. Launched in 1995, Michael Jordan's eleventh signature shoe had never been entrusted to an outside designer from the Jordan Brand. For this debut, two monochrome versions have been created: one black, the other white.

For the occasion, Comme des Garçons has reworked several elements that shaped the Air Jordan 11. The mesh construction has been replaced with leather, while the signature patent leather of the silhouette now extends down to the sole. The result? A minimalist approach that is also reflected in the branding.

To accompany the project, Jordan and Comme des Garçons also headed to Tokyo, with a campaign shot in front of the Japanese house's Aoyama flagship. The two Air Jordan 11 models in collaboration with Jordan were released on September 5, exclusively at Dover Street Market.
