Barely launched in January, the Nike Mind 001 has already reached a milestone: its very first collaboration with Hiroshi Fujiwara and his label Fragment Design. The most cerebral silhouette of the Swoosh is already being reinterpreted by the Japanese master of streetwear. On his social media, the founder of Fragment Design unveils a revisited Nike Mind 001, between minimalism and obsession with detail.
More than a mule, the Mind 001 is the result of more than ten years of research between neuroscientists, engineers, and designers, to explore the link between body and mind. Its particularity? 22 independent pods under the sole, which move like small pistons to stimulate sensory receptors and enhance body awareness. According to Nike, this technology promotes mental recentering and inner balance, making each step a unique sensory experience.
On the branding side, the design of Fragment takes up the usual codes of the Japanese label, namely the double lightning present on the insoles and the inner sole. On the midsole, the inscription “concept-testing” suggests that it could be a prototype, perhaps announcing a more refined version to come. For now, no official date has been confirmed, but a release in spring 2026 on SNKRS is being considered. Other collaborations around the Nike Mind 001 are expected to follow, confirming the potential of this model as a new playground for Nike and its partners.
