16 elite teams. 15 high-level games. 1 supreme title. The world's biggest streetball tournament returns to Paris, June 22 and 23: Quai 54. Known for bringing together the global elite of basketball, the event has established itself as a must-attend gathering every year. Last year, the Quai 54 celebrated its twentieth anniversary on the Simone-Mathieu court at Roland-Garros. For its 21st edition, the tournament moves to a new venue, thinking bigger by setting up for the first time at the Stade Pierre de Coubertin. An opportunity to witness spectacular performances, both in terms of technique and athleticism.
While numerous basketball stars are expected, one of the weekend's most exciting events will undoubtedly be the dunk contest. This year, Quai 54 has called upon Joel Henry, Piotr Grbowsky, New Williams, and Donovan Hawkins for a high-flying showdown. Mark your calendar for Saturday, June 22 at 8 PM to watch this aerial contest, where athletes compete in creativity and power to execute the most impressive dunks.
But Quai 54 is not just about streetball. It is also a weekend filled with concerts and entertainment to deliver a unique experience. An immersive celebration, where numerous hip-hop, afrobeat, and R&B DJs will blend with sport to offer the best of street culture.
Jordan: a long-standing partner
True to tradition, the sportswear brand will once again be the official sponsor of the event. A long-standing collaboration that has strengthened Quai 54's image as the ultimate streetball tournament. On the program: special editions from the Jordan line such as the Air Jordan 1 Low, the Air Jordan 3, and the Jordan One Take 5.
Paris and Jordan celebrate the annual tournament with Russell Westbrook's new model. Whether on or off the basketball courts, the Jordan One Take 5 "Quai 54" features its key characteristics including Zoom Air cushioning in the forefoot for optimal performance. A harmonious mix of textures and colors completes the pair, which was released on June 3.
As for the Air Jordan 1 Low, the commemorative design features a blend of suede and leather, elevated with black, white, and blue accents. The Quai 54 co-brandings are placed on the heeltab and match those found on the special box.
Finally, the Air Jordan 3 "Quai 54" rounded out the sneaker trilogy planned for the event. While the pair highlights Tinker Hatfield's innovative design details, namely its traditional panels, this edition opts for a white leather upper, enhanced by a soft suede collar replacing the traditional elephant print. Naturally, Nike pays tribute to the event with Quai 54 branding on the tongue along with a special box, available since June 10.
