Two Upcycled Asics Gel-Quantum at the Cecilie Bahnsen Show
Third time's the charm. Following the success of the latest Asics GT-2160 in collaboration with the Copenhagen-based designer, it seems the duo is back for a new chapter. And it was during the latest Women's Fashion Week, held from February 26 to March 5, 2024, that Cecilie Bahnsen teased her new collaboration. This time, it's the Asics Gel-Quantum's turn to bloom through two colorways: black for one, brown for the other. Just like the first versions of the Cecilie Bahnsen x Asics GT-2160, the designer opts for understated designs accompanied by her three-dimensional flowers. While the two pairs are expected this summer, Cecilie might have a few more surprises in store with additional colorways. Stay tuned!
Chains by Junya Watanabe for the Hoka Ora Primo
Futuristic silhouette. Cutting-edge technology. The Hoka Ora Primo has just entered the sneaker game, yet it already looks like THE pair primed for collaborations. Designer Junya Watanabe knew this well, as during his latest runway show, he unveiled his own interpretation. On the menu: studs and metal chain accessories. The pair thus abandons its conventional elastic lacing system for a premium design that will shake up the codes later this year.
Union LA Revisits the Clarks Originals Wallabee
Derbies or sneakers? Why not both? Since this fall, the British shoe has been enjoying renewed success, and now it's the turn of the iconic Los Angeles shop to revisit Clarks' timeless classic. For the first time, the brand will lend its identity and storytelling to the 1964 Wallabee. For the occasion, two versions are planned: one in pink and beige while the second goes for an olive shade. Naturally, both pairs will be enhanced by suede co-brandings to elevate each construction while preserving the traditional crepe sole. The result? A fine collaboration releasing on March 7th on Union and Clarks. The price, however, has yet to be disclosed.
Salehe Bembury Prepares the Launch of His Crocs Saru Clog
The New York designer isn't done with Crocs. Since 2021, Salehe Bembury has been working to evolve the Pollex Pod collection to bring the clog back into the sneaker scene. After his interpretation of the Pollex Clog, the Pollex Slide, and the Juniper, the designer shared his next model on social media: the Crocs Saru Clog. While details remain scarce for now, the new design features a classic look with two colorways, one in brown and the other in green. The collection will arrive sooner than expected, as Salehe revealed on social media that the Crocs Saru Clog is expected on March 21.
Verdy and Nike SB, an Already Impressive Comeback
Nike SB strikes again. While the skateboarding division enjoyed great success last year, it's already planning new enticing collaborations for its Nike SB Dunk Low. In 2024, the division is preparing the return of Verdy, the creator and founder of the Girls Don't Cry label. The artist recently shared a design blending his artistic flair with Nike SB's timeless appeal: pastel colors and long faux fur nodding to Verdy Visty, his plush mascot unveiled in 2021 as a tribute to his "Rive Abive" exhibition. While no release date has been announced yet, the pair is already generating attention. You'll need to be quick to cop!
