Nike never disappoints when it comes to making an impression. With 100 days to go before the kickoff of the Paris Olympic Games, the Swoosh and its multiple divisions are joining the event to expand their range and capture its essence. Celebration calls for special editions. While Nike is known for revealing pairs that match university colors or seasonal themes, the brand is now turning its attention to the global event scheduled in the French capital. On the agenda: Air Jordan 4, Air Jordan 6, Nike SB Dunk Low and more.

On the occasion of the biggest sporting event, running from July 26 to August 11, Jordan has unveiled a brand-new iteration of its Air Jordan 4 as the headliner. The first mockups shared by @zsneakerheads suggest that the Jordan division will go with a clean pair featuring different shades of grey, drawing direct inspiration from the City of Light. On the materials front, Tinker Hatfield's design is expected to feature a mix of leather, nubuck, and suede. Naturally, the pair will be enhanced by its distinctive elements in honor of its thirty-fifth anniversary.
But it will not be the only one. Jordan is also betting on its Air Jordan 6, which receives an Olympic edition for the occasion. Still at the mockup stage, the pair is expected to feature a predominantly grey upper, paired with gold accents. Blue touches should also be incorporated into the design, as a nod to the sporting event.
The Nike division is not to be outdone
While the skateboarding elite will compete in two of the most popular and spectacular skateboarding disciplines (Park and Street), Nike SB steps in with a history-laden special edition: the Nike SB Dunk Low "Safari Olympics". The skateboarding division goes back to its roots in the mid-1980s, when Tinker Hatfield spotted an ostrich-skin sofa in a New York storefront window, to honor the discipline. As a tribute to one of the Swoosh's most legendary designs, a neutral suede upper will feature spotted overlays.

And in the sneaker world, few moments resonate with as much patriotism and pride as the iconic Olympic editions. For this occasion, Nike dips into its archives to re-release the classic Air More Uptempo "Olympic", worn by Scottie Pippen during the 1996 Atlanta Games. The reissue is expected to be identical to its original design, with the same materials that captivated audiences twenty-eight years ago as the legendary Scottie Pippen and the Dream Team claimed gold in basketball. On the menu: leather and nubuck.
