This time, Stüssy teams up with Martine Rose and unveils a promising capsule collection titled "The art of driving."
"Expect perfection". That is the slogan accompanying the announcement of this iconic partnership. Following a successful Tommy Hilfiger x Martine Rose collaboration, it is now the turn of Shawn Stüssy's streetwear label to join forces with the talented British designer.
On the rise, Martine Rose continues to expand her collaborations and brings her authenticity to Stüssy's underground touch. While the California-based label is firmly rooted in sneaker culture, Martine Rose contributes her unique aesthetic, her sense of proportion and her textures inspired by her London upbringing. The result is a collection steeped in car culture, capturing all the splendor of the 90s.
When streetwear meets car culture roots
The first images appeared on the respective Instagram accounts of the two partners. Shot by photographer Rosie Marks, they brilliantly showcase the early days of car tuning with a powerful, streetwear-infused proposal. Two distinct worlds coming together in an elegant cultural fusion.
Good news for fans of burning rubber and high speed, as the range initially reveals accessories signed Stüssy x Martine Rose. The duo had fun reimagining numerous automotive elements, including a pair of sporty-looking gloves paired with a set of car mats featuring the branding of both labels.
