Travis Scott made his grand return to Coachella. In a festival where every detail is scrutinized and analyzed, the Cactus Jack era shows no signs of slowing down.
Travis never does things halfway. Even less so when it comes to Coachella. While La Flame hadn't headlined the festival since 2017, he went all out for his return, with a custom-built stage. Named The Village, the structure was set in a post-apocalyptic, industrial, almost dystopian universe, featuring metallic materials and sharp lighting. In short, a true extension of the Utopia universe.

On this stage, designed by La Flame himself, everything begins with a striking contrast. No bass drops or typical Travis introduction: it's a sixty-piece orchestra that opens the show. The first notes ring out in the California desert, with reimagined versions of Crush by Playboi Carti and Aye by Lil Uzi Vert. The contrast is striking. The image is powerful. Then, without warning, the Houston rapper makes his entrance. Wearing a Chrome Hearts harness, Travis climbs a towering metallic structure overlooking the crowd. Around him, dancers are suspended in the air to amplify the dramatic dimension of the show.
Then come the surprises. Two unreleased tracks, never performed before, that will very likely appear on the highly anticipated Jackboys 2. Enough to further ignite an already buzzing stage. The rest of the concert navigates between classic tracks and recent hits: Sicko Mode, Goosebumps, Fe!n, Modern Jam, Telekinesis, Backr00ms... the setlist flows without ever releasing the pressure. Travis commands his set like a rising tension, with controlled but always explosive energy.
A performance, a pair
But that's not all. When talking about Travis Scott, it's impossible not to talk sneakers. For several years, every public appearance has been watched closely to guess his next collaboration with Nike or the Jordan division. And once again, the mystery was carefully orchestrated. A few hours before his concert, Travis posted an enigmatic phrase on Instagram: "I have something special for you on Sunday".

No details. No images. Just that phrase, which was enough to put all eyes on him during his show. On stage, keen observers spotted a new colorway of his Jordan Jumpman Jack, his signature model launched last year. A new version, identified as the Travis Scott x Jordan Jumpman Jack "Bright Cactus", expected in the coming months.
No official confirmation. No surprise drop for now. But the signs are there. If Travis has already used his performances as a launching pad for his sneakers (the Grammy Awards, Astroworld, etc.), it seems that Coachella is no exception. Every show becomes a communication tool to tease his upcoming releases. By delivering a performance that was as visual as it was musical, Travis Scott turned Coachella into an experimentation ground and seems to already be anticipating what's next. As the festival weekend came to a close, all eyes are already turned toward the release date of the pair that could very well arrive soon. The countdown has begun!
