Paris a été le terrain de jeux des créateurs et de leurs prochaines collaborations sneakers;
It's impossible to mention this edition without revisiting the offensive signed by Rei Kawakubo, who unveiled not one, but three major collaborations. Headlining: Comme des Garçons Homme Plus, which signs for the very first time a partnership with Jordan around the Air Jordan 11. Presented in the form of a pack of two monochrome pairs, one black, the other white, the project arrives at a strategic moment. A flagship model for the end-of-year holidays, the sportswear brand has recently expanded the release schedule of its eleventh signature shoe, opening an ideal ground for experimentation. In this context, this collaboration appears as one of the boldest attempts ever made on the model, managing to combine historical heritage and high fashion vision of Rei Kawakubo. No official information regarding the release date has been communicated by the two collaborators; however, the pack could well make its appearance in autumn 2026.

On the Swoosh side, the Nike LD 1000 is not to be outdone. Comme des Garçons continues its dialogue with Nike's archives by tackling the iconic running model from the 70s. After the Nike Air Rejuven8, and the Nike Field General 82, the Japanese label has revealed the first images of the silhouette. While the LD-1000 remains discreet, the co-branding is limited to subtle details, such as the inscription “COMME des GARÇONS” printed on the insoles alongside the Nike logos. A choice that fits within the line of the brand's usual collaborations with Nike, prioritizing material choices and color harmony over design modifications.

On the running side, Comme des Garçons has given a first glimpse of the upcoming silhouettes in collaboration with Asics. After revisiting the Asics GEL-LYTE III model, it is now the turn of the Asics Gel-1130 to don the CDG signature. Introduced for the first time in 2008, the pair, inspired by 2000s running silhouettes, is redefined with two designs: one white and one black. While one of the trendiest models from the Japanese brand receives a couture update, each design is crafted with a mesh base and white or black leather inserts, moving away from the Y2K aesthetic often executed with metallic silver treatments. For now, no price has been announced; the two silhouettes are expected to hit the shelves by late 2026.
Between sharp collaborations and iconic returns
Beyond the Comme des Garçons universe, other silhouettes have also made an impression on the Parisian pavement. On the German giant's side, Puma took the opportunity to confirm that its Puma Suede is no longer just a symbol of nostalgia, but indeed a ground for reinvention. During its pop-up, the model was presented as a platform capable of transcending its origins, without betraying its original DNA while standing alongside other icons, such as the Puma 550. This season, the Suede becomes a true creative laboratory. Some designers play with square toes and palette contrasts, while more technical experiments adapt the silhouette for outdoor uses, with rethought soles and structures. The classics remain present with the return of OG colors, textured or aged finishes. One thing is for sure: the Puma Suede will continue to surprise and reinvent itself throughout 2026.

On the New Balance side, Slam Jam took advantage of the Parisian excitement to unveil its brand new silhouette: the New Balance 5030. The two partners reveal a collaboration that is more futuristic than retro, fitting within the line of avant-garde creations from the Beaverton brand, like the Abzorb 2000, while imposing its own identity. Still in prototype form, the pair features a molded upper with fluid and organic lines, hinting at a sculptural and technical final version.

Finally, it's hard to overlook the return of the most recognizable mascot in the sneaker world: the “Piggy Runner”. Unheardof chose the capital to unveil its upcoming collaboration with the three-stripe brand around the Adistar Control 5. After successfully revisiting the Rivalry and the Adistar Cushion 3, Philip Lipschutz and his creative team have transformed the model into a true canvas of creativity. Named “Piggy Runner 2.0”, in homage to the Porky mascot, the design imposes a bold palette: pink and green. In terms of details, Unheardof's Porky mascot is omnipresent on the pair, confirming that this collaboration fully fits into Lipschutz's growing catalog. Coming soon…
