All three drops of the Corteiz x Nike Air Max 95 have now taken place, and one thing is certain, there were some major twists and turns! Known for creating guerilla marketing events during his collection drops, Clint has established himself in urban culture and brought a fresh perspective to the streetwear world. Following the announcement of his collaboration with Nike in January, the teasing of a Nike Air Max 95 pair followed, much to the delight of the London brand's fans. Naturally, the creator of CRTZ RTW, who always thinks big, invited his fans and those of the Swoosh brand to three cities that shaped his life: London, New York, and Paris. If you missed them, here is a recap of the three releases from this now iconic collaboration!

On February 23, 2023, the Instagram account of @crtz.rtw posted a video of Real Madrid football player Eduardo Camavinga, captioned "Crtz Airmax 95' Crossbar Challenge. Saturday in Lundun. Hit the crossbar from outside the 18 yard box to win a pair of the unreleased Crtz Airmax 95'S. First come first serve. Coordinates drop saturday morning".
This video showed the famous football player completing the challenge, naturally wearing the Corteiz x Nike Air Max 95 "Sequoia" (also known as "Gutta Greens"), and paying tribute to the 2005 Nike commercial featuring Ronaldinho.
During the event on Saturday, February 25, 2023, to have a chance of winning the pair, participants had to replicate Eduardo's feat by hitting the crossbar from outside the 18-yard box. There was also a nice bonus of £1,000 for those who completed the challenge while wearing a pair of Nike Air Max 95.
The Corteiz x Nike Air Max 95 "Sequoia" released on March 10, 2023 at 8 PM (CET) for €190 and exclusively on Crtz.xyz.

A week after the first event, the London brand once again unveiled a video on its social media, depicting the cancellation of its collaboration with Nike and the consequences it would have had. This well-crafted scenario designed to get fans of both brands talking had the desired effect, notably thanks to the appearance of two other unreleased colorways.

On March 20, 2023, nearly a month after the first event, Corteiz once again shook the sneaker world by posting a message captioned: "New-York. Be @West 34th ST & 7th Ave. Tomorrow at 12:05pm EST. Location revealed here. First come first serve. 1 pair person. We outside. RTW". This time, fans had to go to the specified location near Madison Square Garden and wait for the GPS coordinates of the drop location to appear on the giant screen. A few seconds after the coordinates were displayed, the streets of New York were flooded with hundreds of people heading toward the indicated location, which turned out to be a "Corteiz Mart & Deli," a bodega entirely decorated in the brand's image.
To have a chance of buying a pair of Corteiz x Nike Air Max 95 "Pink Beam" (also called "Pink Thing"), you had to be among the first to arrive at the location and wait for your turn to enter the shop. As expected, the event got out of hand, prompting the NYPD to step in to calm the crowd and close several streets.
The Corteiz x Nike Air Max 95 "Pink Beam" released on March 24, 2023 at 8 PM on Crtz.xyz, then on March 25, 2023 via SNKRS SCRATCH on the feed of the app, where you could cop your pair by scratching the Corteiz post image.

Paris - Corteiz x Nike Air Max 95 "Aegean Storm"

The rumors of a possible event in Paris for the drop of the Corteiz x Nike Air Max 95 "Aegean Storm" (nicknamed "Les Bleus" by Clint) were confirmed on April 11 via @crtzrtw's social media with the message: "Paname. Rendez-vous @ Place de la République demain 13:50. Gardez les yeux ouverts. Premier arrivé, premier servi. 1 paire par personne. On est là. Règnesurlemonde". On Instagram, the caption was accompanied by a photo of the pair, followed by a bus with the inscription "rulestheworld". That was all it took for fans of both brands to get excited and prepare to show up the next day.
From the morning of Wednesday, April 12, some fans were already waiting at Place de la République, anticipating the clues and information Clint would leak. At 1:50 PM, he revealed a Google Maps screenshot, specifying that the drop location was 19 minutes away by public transport. He finally went live on Instagram 30 minutes later, sitting in a bus that displayed the GPS coordinates of the drop location: 40 cours de Vincennes 75012 Paris. Several hundred people began following the bus and rushing to the address as fast as possible, which turned out to be a parking lot. On site, the cheerful and friendly atmosphere felt during the gathering at Place de la République quickly changed, with significant crowd surges and injuries on the ground.
By organizing these wild events, Clint wants to show the world how far his community will go (literally) for his products. However, the lack of security and organization created general chaos, which led to the cancellation of the SNKRS PASS originally planned for Friday, April 14, 2023.
The Corteiz x Nike Air Max 95 "Aegean Storm" released on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 8 PM for €190 on Crtz.xyz. The pair also released on April 25, 2023 at 1:30 PM on SNKRS via a SNKRS CAM. Nike app users had to scan an image to unlock exclusive access and cop their pair!
