The label of the late Virgil Abloh unveils a new silhouette signed Off-White x Nike that is expected exclusively in the capital, in spring 2023.
It seems that this beginning of the year is promising and also an opportunity to discover new bangers that will rhythm the line-up of Nike. If @jfgrails revealed some first glimpses last August, the account @SneakerVisionz has recently confirmed that there will indeed be an additional release of an Air Force 1 with the giant Off-White.
Indeed, Shannon Abloh, wife of Virgil Abloh who passed away from cancer in November 2021 and appointed CEO of the company, intends to perpetuate the legacy of her late husband, and more specifically his work on the Air Force 1. Considered by Virgil Abloh as a cultural symbol in its own right, the lowtop that celebrated its fortieth year in 2022 will therefore be elevated once again to the status of a work of art.
And this time, it seems that it will be a limited exclusive to France, more precisely to the city of light! Because the account @canary__yellow responded to the rumors with three emojis, including a French flag accompanied by sparks.

If initial visuals have not yet appeared, mock-ups of this unprecedented version reveal a colorblocking similar to its predecessors with this time, a beautiful shade of grey.
Moreover, the metallic silver lateral swoosh at the quarter panel could feature an elegant black stitching that would perfectly match the overall upper, dressed in leather. On the other hand, it will likely be adorned with signature elements of Off-White such as the side tag on the tongue, the zip tie attached to the laces, and the inscription “AIR” on the midsole.
Regarding its release date, which currently stands at spring 2023, speculations within the sneaker culture suggest that the pair could drop in July, like previous iterations. Its price should be around €160.

A release via an exhibition “Figure of Speech”?
Given that Off-White and the Swoosh brand have not yet revealed more information, we can only wonder about the drop of this pair which is undoubtedly already among the best sneaker releases of 2023.
However, it would not be surprising if the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Ghost Grey” is at the heart of a new exhibition “Figure of Speech” that would take place this time, in Paris. Registered in this range, just like previous versions, it could be plausible that the pair is revealed during an event like this.
In 2019, while the collection “The Ten” places the artist at its peak, he unveiled the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Low “University Blue” in homage to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, which was hosting his exhibition at the same time. And if the pair was initially supposed to be released during the exhibition of Abloh's work, it ultimately released via raffle on the SNKRS US app.
In 2021, the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Lemonade” was once again the subject of an exhibition “Figures of Speech” at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston. While the pair highlighted the important place that the Air Force 1 holds between the two collaborators, its release was also carried out via raffle on SNKRS US.
However, its release may be different in 2023. Indeed, the “Light Green Spark”, revealed by the new creative director of Supreme, Tremaine Emory, was exclusively available on July 1, 2022, during the exhibition “Virgil Abloh: Figures Of Speech” held at the Brooklyn Museum in New York. Following his death, it could be plausible that the greyish silhouette is made exclusively in the Paris region and does not release on the SNKRS app.
Nevertheless, these are just speculations, and we will keep you informed when new information is revealed!
