Benito et adidas dévoilent The Archive, une exposition inédite à Porto Rico réunissant plus de 150 paires exclusives et deux collections textiles exclusives.
New era, same ambition. After five years of collaborations marked by a unique vision, Bad Bunny and adidas inaugurate an unprecedented exhibition in Puerto Rico. Titled The Archive, it brings together more than 150 sneaker models, most of which have never been marketed, and traces the evolution of a partnership that has become a benchmark in the footwear world.
Designed as a dive into the history of the two partners, the retrospective explores the major milestones of the project. From the Forum Low Buckle launched in 2021 to the recent Gazelle Indoor “Cabo Rojo”, including hybrid and experimental silhouettes, The Archive highlights the richness of the aesthetic language developed over time. It is an opportunity to rediscover some reinterpreted classics while unveiling unprecedented prototypes that testify to the duo's boldness.
More than a simple tribute, this exhibition is part of a logic of transmission and documents five years of shared creation while highlighting the close bond between Benito and his territory. Presented in San Juan, on the artist's land, it assumes a dual significance: international by its impact, local by its cultural anchoring.
Unreleased models with multiple influences
Several silhouettes were presented during the exhibition. Among them, the Adiracer, a silhouette from the 2000s, reinterpreted here in three variations: the Adiracer Low, the classic Adiracer, and the Adiracer GT, developed in partnership with Mercedes AMG-Petronas. Other models complete this section, including the still-mysterious BadBo, or the Caverunner and Superteam Cavehiker. Designed for the outdoors, these pairs adopt sculpted shapes that echo the aesthetic of Yeezys. On the innovation side, the Radiantes V2 also embody a desire for formal innovation.

The GSG9 boot, inspired by military equipment, has been rethought in a contemporary version, featuring the mention “adidas para Bad Bunny”. Finally, the Reptossage slide has been reinterpreted through the lens of Benito. The model launched in the late 90s has made a comeback with five experimental versions in five colors. In terms of details, they feature the artist's signature eye as well as reimagined side grooves with a more graphic approach.

The exhibition also honors several iconic models from the collaboration, now available in new variants. The Forum 84 is back with a silhouette reinforced by TPU details, while the Gazelle Indoor offers two editions: a light brown version for one and a golden yellow edition (in homage to Vega Baja, Bad Bunny's hometown) for the other. On the Response CL side, two colors were also presented: one in orange and yellow tones, the other with a more subdued palette mixing black, white, and brown. These models confirm the desire to expand a color palette without breaking with the original DNA.

The Adizero SL72, already introduced in 2019, has revealed itself with an expanded ambition: six additional editions have been presented, each inspired by a Latin American country. Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Venezuela, and Peru are represented through double-layer designs, incorporating the colors of their respective flags. Designed as a tribute to Bad Bunny's influence across the continent, this special pack will remain at the prototype stage: no commercialization is planned. Rather than simply capitalizing on past successes, Benito and the three-stripe brand choose to evolve the models over time, with unprecedented variations that sustain the longevity of the project.
On all terrains, even clothing
Alongside the pairs, the exhibition unveils two capsule collections. The first is the result of a collaboration with Mercedes AMG-Petronas and includes seven pieces: a frayed gray set, a jacket, two t-shirts, a cap, and matching gloves. This technical wardrobe illustrates the growing influence of motorsport in Bad Bunny's fashion universe. The second, signed exclusively Bad Bunny x adidas, consists of three sets (gray and navy blue), a t-shirt, and a pair of socks. More understated in its approach, this textile line focuses on coherence with the overall aesthetic of the collaboration, directly linked to the exhibited models.

By offering a multiple reading, sport and lifestyle, these collections confirm the ambition of the project: to go beyond the framework of the simple shoe to propose a complete brand identity. The Archive thus becomes a visual manifesto, at the intersection of fashion, urban culture, and product design to be discovered starting August 6 in Puerto Rico.
