Joe Freshgoods and Patta unveil PattaGoods, a collection rich in history between Chicago and Amsterdam.
For some, collaborations are born to check a box. For Joe Freshgoods, they are born from a memory. From a childhood song, a prayer repeated like a mantra, a promise carried on the back without even realizing it. This is what gives breath to PattaGoods: a collection that connects communities with a red thread stretched between the South Side and the streets of Amsterdam.
For the first time, the Chicago native partners with the legendary shop in Amsterdam, founded by Edson Sabajo and Guillaume “Gee” Schmidt. A meeting that already feels like an obvious choice. On one side, a creator who grew up in lives, voices, and community spaces. On the other, a European collective that, since 2004, has defended urban culture, the street, and the roots. If the project is not limited to an aesthetic, it is built around a shared narrative. An attention to details, textures, and colors that carry meaning. Each element of the collection reflects a desire: to combine heritage and modernity. To anchor the garment in a living past.
From the wardrobe to the decor
The wardrobe of PattaGoods navigates between memory and modernity and is inspired by the youth of the 70s. The centerpiece? A varsity jacket that mixes leather, chenille, and worked patches, like a jacket passed down from generation to generation. Next to it, two mesh jerseys available in two colors, featuring the iconic tones: black, orange, and green. Long sleeves, t-shirts, and caps complete the wardrobe, while jeans and joggers add a practical, familiar, and urban dimension. Each piece seems to live, carry its story, and create a bridge between Chicago and Amsterdam.
"This collaboration with Patta is very precious to me. We are thrilled to share this brotherhood."
To illustrate the backbone of the narrative, Joe Freshgoods brings the campaign to the historic neighborhood of the South Side of Chicago, at the First Presbyterian Church. An iconic place, the church has long served as a refuge for the community, now hosting events, art, food drives, and solidarity initiatives. The pieces are revealed in a strong place, steeped in history that existed before and will continue to exist after. Joe Freshgoods reminds us: a project never starts with a piece, but with a place.

With PattaGoods, Joe Freshgoods signs a collaboration that takes on an international dimension. A story with two voices, a shared heritage, a bridge between communities. Further proof that, according to him, textiles or sneakers are never a product. It’s a memory that we carry.
