Running is getting a couture upgrade once again. Cecilie Bahnsen is back with Asics for a new collaboration on the Gel-Kinetic FR. After applying her floral aesthetic to several silhouettes from the Japanese giant, like the GT-2160, the Gel-Terrain, the Gel-Cumulus 16, and more recently the Gel-Quantum 360 I, the Danish designer is taking on a runner silhouette launched by Asics at the beginning of August. There are two designs on the menu: one in gray and silver, the other in black and brown.

This time, Cecilie Bahnsen reworks the shape of the Asics Gel-Kinetic FR with her now-recognizable floral language. Inspired by the energy of flowers in motion, the two silhouettes blend sculptural details with the technical innovation that Asics is known for. As with her previous collaborations, the Danish designer twists the running codes with floral patterns, sculpted flowers, and some beaded details, while injecting a fresh dose of femininity. The launch of the two silhouettes is scheduled for August 28 on Cecilie Bahnsen's website, followed by a wider release at Asics on September 12, priced at €200.
