The world of outdoor has never been so chic. Cecilie Bahnsen, queen of ethereal silhouettes, architectural layers, and floral motifs, has partnered with the adventurous world of high mountains through The North Face. Unveiled at Paris Fashion Week Women's Ready-to-Wear Fall/Winter 2026, Cecilie Bahnsen's collection has pushed (once again) the boundaries of what is possible between unapologetic romanticism and the spirit of exploration. Better yet, it was exclusively installed at the Dover Street Market in the French capital.

By revisiting The North Face's codes, the Danish designer shapes a capsule where each piece embodies both ruggedness and refinement. "This collection is a tribute to Ingrid Harshbarger, the late creator of The North Face, whose meticulous craftsmanship I infinitely admire," she shares. A dialogue between heritage and modernity that translates into creations as sumptuous as they are practical, where craftsmanship meets Haute Couture. Through this collection, Cecilie Bahnsen revisits the gorpcore universe with a fresh perspective, injecting a dose of femininity and poetry into pieces designed to brave the elements.
Between mountains and runways
The inspiration? Mountaineers, figures of raw elegance and fascinating fearlessness. "There is a strength and complexity in what they do, but it seems so graceful and effortless, almost like a ballet, performed vertically on the edge of a cliff," explains Cecilie. Unified by a combined devotion to craftsmanship, Cecilie Bahnsen's hyper-feminine couture style is fused with The North Face's expertise to create pieces that live in perfect harmony between the world of style and that of nature. Among the standout pieces: the Himalayan Parka, the collection's first padded garment, inspired by alpine heritage and adjustable at the waist for a structured silhouette. The quilted down skirt, a reinterpretation of a Bahnsen classic, joins the collection for a touch of sculptural femininity. And while the iconic oversized puffer jacket, with its tonal details, gets a floral finish, the Denali Fleece Jacket adopts equally soft and feminine lines.

Here, there is no question of choosing between style and comfort: every detail has been designed to celebrate adventure in all its forms, whether urban or in the heart of nature. The collection plays on contrasts between innovative materials and delicate volumes, proving that exploration can also rhyme with sophistication.
With this collaboration, Cecilie Bahnsen and The North Face expand their range while continuing to evolve. Designed to be layered and combined with fluidity, the pieces embody an adaptable wardrobe, where a delicate dress naturally pairs with a technical coat, where the contrasts between softness and structure become a signature. More than a collection, it is a true invitation to escape with flair, to conquer peaks without sacrificing elegance. The Cecilie Bahnsen x The North Face collection is available for preview at the Dover Street Market in Paris and will be released on March 13 on The North Face.
