After exploring several iconic silhouettes from New Balance, Comme des Garçons Homme continues its dialogue with the Boston brand. Presented during the latest Paris Fashion Week, the Japanese label's menswear line takes on a more subtle silhouette from the catalog: the New Balance 1226.

Launched in 2011, the sneaker is back in a much more understated construction than its original model. Gone are the metallic finishes of the initial runner, replaced by a more subdued palette. True to Comme des Garçons Homme's approach, the silhouette focuses more on materials and textures than on contrasts. In terms of technology, the ABZORB SBS is retained, recalling the running codes of the 2000s and the technical heritage of the 1226. The Comme des Garçons Homme x New Balance 1226 currently has no release date.
