This month, the creative boldness of the famous Canadian artist and Nike's technical expertise made a brief appearance with the exclusive drop of the Nocta x Nike Hot Step 2 "Opti Yellow", but the two partners are already ready to drop a metallic version, reminiscent of the iconic Nike Air Foamposite One "Eggplant" worn by Penny Hardaway.
Metallic leather. Purple mesh. Reflective patterns. Single eyelet. Fabric lacing system. Nocta sole. Visible Air unit at the heel. There's no doubt, champagnepapi's label has struck again. The Toronto native reworks the first-generation Nocta Hot Step into a forward-thinking prototype with contemporary touches. However, the pair leaves behind its chrome details, unlike the Nocta x Nike Hot Step 2 "Total Orange", and aligns with the latest released versions. On the branding side, the Certified Lover Boy opts for a mini-swoosh on the toebox while a Nocta logo sits on the label, adding to the futuristic look.
With the Nocta Hot Step 2 "Eggplant" set to hit the streets and shelves on August 22 at a retail price of €200, this pair is already claiming the title of summer hit. Be on the lookout to get your hands on this model, which is expected to drop in limited quantities.
