It’s official: Jerry Lorenzo has confirmed that the partnership between Fear of God and adidas will end in December. After five years of collaborations, the Californian designer takes his bow on the partnership that allowed him to lead the basketball division of the German brand. Guest on Complex's podcast “Please Explain”, Lorenzo explained the reasons for this separation: “We agreed not to renew it. Adidas has different performance requirements and criteria. Their vision is different from that of Fear of God. Fear of God can wait ten years to ensure that the product is up to standard.” Despite the end of the collaboration, the last pair from the brand, the Fear of God Basketball 3, will indeed be launched in 2026. A page turns for Lorenzo and his brand, which are now preparing to write a new chapter away from adidas.
