JJJJound continues to explore the archives of New Balance. After building part of its identity around must-have silhouettes like the 990 and 2002R, the Canadian studio founded by Justin Saunders is now focusing on a more understated model from Boston's catalog: the New Balance 740. Revealed shortly after the 1890, this new collaboration reiterates JJJJound's approach with New Balance.
Instead of revisiting the most obvious references of the brand, the label prefers to highlight less exposed silhouettes. First appearing in the early 2000s, the 740 has long remained in the background before finding a new place in New Balance's lineup, driven by the resurgence of retro runners. Through this first look, JJJJound seems to apply its usual signature to the silhouette. While details are still to be confirmed, the sneaker already hints at a clean construction, true to the studio's work. Scheduled for fall-winter 2026, no price or release date has been announced yet.
