The sneaker universe has come a long way since its early days, and over the years, it has become a major part of the fashion industry and urban culture. Originally designed and created in the 80s for athletic use, sneakers have since evolved considerably, allowing people to express their personality. Among the most sought-after sneaker brands today is Jordan, named after one of the greatest basketball players in history, Michael Jordan. Since then, Jordan shoes have become a sports and, more importantly, cultural icon, worn by thousands of people around the world.
The Reimagined Line-Up
The name of this line-up has not been precisely defined by Jordan Brand or Nike, but it can be described as a range that revives archive pairs while retaining their vintage design and OG colorway, drawing on their history and heritage. The goal is to take a leap into the past, shining a spotlight on legendary models for younger sneakerheads.
The announcement of a popular pair's return always generates genuine excitement among sneaker fans looking to expand their collection and own a 2.0 version of an iconic pair. Among the pairs that make up this exceptional range, we find the Air Jordan 1 High OG "Lost and Found" and the Air Jordan 3 Retro "White Cement Reimagined", which were released a few months ago. Following those, the Air Jordan 1 High "Royal Suede", the Air Jordan 1 High OG "Black Toe" and the Air Jordan 4 "Bred Reimagined" are expected to make their appearance. In this article, we will take a closer look at why these pairs undergoing a "reimagined treatment" are making waves and generating strong demand within the community.
The Iconic Design of the Air Jordan 1 Chicago

The Jordan 1 Chicago is one of the most iconic models in the Jordan line, first released in 1985 and reissued several times since. The Reimagined version of the red Air Jordan 1 is a modern interpretation of this iconic model, which quickly ranked among the best sneaker releases of 2022. It retains the essence of the original shoe, with the midsole and outsole featuring an aged treatment, paired with premium materials. This new edition came with a special box designed to look as though it had been forgotten for years in a warehouse, inspiring the pair's new name: "Lost and Found."
The Air Jordan 1 High OG "Lost and Found" was released on November 19, 2022, priced at €180 on SNKRS and at other retailers.

The Significance of the Air Jordan 3 White Cement

After being disappointed by the Air Jordan 2 model, Michael Jordan nearly left Nike to join the three-stripes brand. Finding a solution to keep him on board became urgent, and that is when Tinker Hatfield stepped in, the man behind the Air Max 1. He pulled off a masterstroke by designing the Jordan 3, which features the famous visible Air bubble he had introduced a few years earlier. It was in this new pair that MJ won the 1988 Slam Dunk Contest, inspiring sneakerheads to own this historic pair reimagined in 2023. Naturally, it retains the OG colorway and its iconic elephant print, accompanied by a cream sole and an aged box.
The Air Jordan 3 Retro "White Cement Reimagined" made its appearance on March 11, 2023, priced at €210 on SNKRS and at other retailers.

The Timeless Appeal of the Air Jordan 1 Royal Suede

The blue and black Jordan 1 released in 1985 did not get the chance to grace basketball courts, but that did not stop it from achieving great success and charming sneaker fans thanks to its presence on MJ's feet in that Nike campaign. Originally crafted in smooth leather, the Air Jordan 1 High "Royal Blue" has seen several reissues over the past two decades. According to rumors, the 2023 version is expected to adopt a similar colorway, though the overlays could feature suede leather across the entire upper. Only early mockups have surfaced so far, while we wait for the Jumpman brand to reveal more.
After several announced release dates, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Royal Suede" is expected to make its appearance on November 4, 2023, at the usual price of €180 on SNKRS and at other retailers.

The Return of the Air Jordan 1 Black Toe

This shoe, born from the imagination of Peter Moore and designed for the GOAT, dresses in the colors of his basketball team: the Chicago Bulls. The resemblance to the Jordan 1 Chicago is naturally apparent; however, the mudguard and eyelet panels adopt a black hue here. Furthermore, this pair, featured in the famous photograph of Michael Jordan in front of the Chicago skyline, gave birth to the now-iconic Jumpman logo, firmly embedded in people's minds. So beloved and sought after, this pair worn by MJ for home games inspired the Union x Air Jordan 1 "Black Toe" collaboration in 2018.
After its 2016 reissue, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Black Toe Reimagined" could make another appearance on SNKRS during 2023 at the usual price of €180. We will keep you updated as soon as we know its release date!

The Impact of the Air Jordan 4 Bred Reimagined

After several Jordan 1 and Jordan 3 models, Tinker Hatfield's design will also receive a slight refresh while retaining a vintage treatment. The Jordan 4 Bred is a must-have thanks to its contribution during the playoff game between the Chicago Bulls and Cleveland on May 7, 1989, when the GOAT sank the famous "The Shot," a clutch buzzer-beater that secured the victory for his team. Whether it is to expand a collection or simply to rock them, one thing is certain: this streetwear gem is set to make an impact in 2024. However, unlike the original made in nubuck, this new "Reimagined" version is expected to feature smooth leather panels based on early mockups.
The Air Jordan 4 Retro "Bred Reimagined" could return around March 2024 at a price of €220 on SNKRS and at other retailers.
