As every week, the sneaker world has been driven by numerous announcements. Between new designs and reinterpretations, there has been plenty of movement. Here are the details!
5 Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 Low cancelled!
Some legendary collaborations have left a permanent mark on the sneaker world. For the Spring-Summer 2022 collection, the late Virgil Abloh had envisioned a collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Nike to bring 47 exclusive editions of the Nike Air Force 1 to life. Embodying the synthesis of classic design codes, premium materials, and the French house's signature emblem, this partnership illustrated Abloh's work one final time. However, according to @FitDadAK, five new Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 models were supposed to release this year, but the French luxury house decided not to proceed. The reason? A change of strategy for the Men's category that could be linked to Pharrell Williams and the three-stripe brand: adidas.
Patta and Nike back, stronger than ever
The legendary Amsterdam shop, founded by Edson Sabajo and Guillaume "Gee" Schmidt in 2004, is already gearing up for its big return with the Swoosh! Following the six Air Max 1 editions unveiled as part of the Patta x Nike "The Wave" collaboration from 2021 to 2022, and the success of the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 "Chlorophyll", the Dutch brand is ready to bring its vision to another Tinker Hatfield silhouette: the Nike Air Max 90. A choice that is far from surprising since the model was one of the first offered by Patta back in 2006. Based on a first visual, the pair will follow the wave recipe with a particularly retro colorway and its traditional materials. And while the pair is expected for 2025, a Patta x Nike web page has recently been launched, suggesting activity from both partners...
A Fragment-redesigned Nike Air Zoom Spiridon in the works!
While Travis Scott's love for iconic Swoosh models was well known, no one expected a Nike Air Zoom Spiridon rework by Hiroshi Fujiwara! Just as La Flame joined the exclusive club of collaborators who have had the chance to rework the 90s classic, the streetwear pioneer revealed (in turn) the box of his upcoming collaboration with the Swoosh, confirming the first look at a Fragment x Nike Air Zoom Spiridon SP. At first glance, the design should retain its key characteristics while a Fragment-style colorway should define the pair. One thing is certain: the Nike Air Zoom Spiridon should make a major comeback by the end of the year! Mark your calendars!
The Nike Air Max Craze through the eyes of Martine Rose
While the iconic Nike Air Max 95 will celebrate its 25th anniversary, another model is set to join the festivities: the Nike Air Max Craze. Created in 2000 by the Alpha Project division, responsible for technical models like the Presto and the Hyperflight, this design disappeared from the radar and completely faded from the sneaker world. Next year, the Swoosh will count on Martine Rose to relaunch the retro model. Although details remain scarce, early information suggests that several colorways of the model will be released. The question remains whether the pair will receive an update similar to the Martine Rose x Nike Shox MR4... Stay tuned!
Corteiz accuses Palace of plagiarism!
In a tweet posted on Thursday, October 17, the founder of Corteiz (Clint) accused Palace of copying the design of his "Brazil" tracksuit, released in June 2024. The skateboarding label allegedly drew inspiration from the London brand's design to create its latest tracksuit paying homage to Ronaldo and Latin culture. In response, Corteiz decided to re-release its item at the same time as the Palace drop and produce an exclusive t-shirt where the Palace logo is replaced by the inscription "Corteiz".
