As the Louis Vuitton house unveiled its spring-summer 2022 show last year, it created surprise and excitement around multiple Air Force 1 in collaboration with the king of streetwear and luxury, Virgil Abloh.
Tragically passed away last November, Louis Vuitton pays tribute to its Men's Artistic Director with the exhibition Louis Vuitton and Nike "Air Force 1" by Virgil Abloh from May 20 to 31, 2022, at the Green Point Terminal Warehouse in New York. In total, there are forty-seven Air Force 1 imagined by Virgil Abloh and Nike that will be on display, both physically and virtually, in a series of immersive spaces.

A grand exhibition
It is in the dreamlike universe of the late creator that the exhibition is presented. Indeed, it is simply a creative dialogue between Louis Vuitton and Nike imagined by Virgil Abloh before his death. Created as a journey, discover the creative process behind the iconic collaboration and wander between walls decorated for the occasion with characteristic clouds, sets from his shows, or the imagery of his campaigns.
Stunning and completely dazzling, you can only immerse yourself in this collaboration that combines luxury and sportswear. Indeed, the exhibition includes multiple 3D statues, designed by the designer for Louis Vuitton, as well as an impressive giant version of the logo covered in mirrors that gives a new perspective on this premium collaboration.

The Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 “Collection” highlighted
Considered by Virgil Abloh as a cultural symbol in its own right, the Air Force 1 from the Swoosh brand is thus elevated to the status of an art object with a wide assortment of collector iterations during this exhibition.
Crafted from noble materials in the Maison's workshop in Fiesso d'Artico, each model embodies the synthesis between classic codes of the original shoe and emblems of the Louis Vuitton House.
Dressed in multiple fine fabrics from the luxury house, with iconic patterns and colors, the collection includes unique low silhouettes. Thus, discover two-tone silhouettes such as a red, a green, or a blue similar to the LV Trainers or the “Triple White” and “Triple Black” editions that perfectly showcase Abloh's work with a sleek and luxurious design.

Moreover, many Air Force 1 will be available featuring deconstructed monograms or a new graffiti style. The exhibition will also reveal more complex treatments found on a silver upper and a gold upper. Finally, admire one of the Air Force 1 auctioned at Sotheby’s that made a unanimous impression last January.
Furthermore, the exhibition Louis Vuitton and Nike "Air Force 1" by Virgil Abloh will pave the way for the launch of a few Air Force 1. Available for pre-order and exclusively for members of the Louis Vuitton community, the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Collection” will undoubtedly sell out quickly.
