Ten years after their last collaboration, Rick Owens and adidas are back with a new collection. Unveiled during the Spring - Summer 2027 Paris Fashion Week and presented in the sweltering heat of the capital, the collection showcases several experimental pieces. Among them are jackets featuring Climacool technology in the form of inflatable systems and integrated fans, designed to help cool the upper body before exertion.

Continuing with concepts already explored by adidas for international competitions, the collection includes an ice vest and volumetric shorts with a sculpted design. Rick Owens describes the whole thing as a “personal air conditioning system.”
On the footwear front, the collaboration takes a more robust turn. The silhouettes move away from the sculptural lines associated with previous collections for an approach inspired by hiking and the outdoors. The shoe is built on a sturdy base, enhanced with a shell and wider three stripes. The rest of the collection leans towards a more understated approach: black sets and tracksuits, sleeveless hoodies, drawstring joggers, and structured leather jackets create an overall minimalist silhouette.
