Mark your calendars! SNKRS Day is making its grand return this Saturday! After a day deemed disappointing in 2022, its sixth edition is about to begin. Since 2017, SNKRS Day has been the occasion for the Swoosh brand to drop limited pairs or special editions throughout the day, but this time, they have decided to innovate, starting by changing the date of this long-awaited day.
That's right, this year, Nike extends the festivities beyond Europe and Asia for a first-ever global event taking place on September 9, 2023.
While the event focuses on sneaker releases, it will also highlight the community and the stories behind certain pairs. Additionally, many surprises are still to come, including exclusive access and interactive content throughout the day.
Finally, this already promising SNKRS Day will also feature several SNKRS Pass deliveries in select cities, including Amsterdam, Barcelona, Munich, and London. While waiting for the event to start, discover the first pairs that will be featured throughout the day.
The first drops revealed:
Nike Air Max 1 '86 "World Make Korea"
To kick off the festivities, the Swoosh brand revisits one of its iconic pairs with the World Make range, which draws its heritage from the world's greatest fashion capitals. In this regard, Nike's designers head to Korea, specifically South Korea, to bring each community together in this first destination.
Made from eco-responsible materials, this Air Max 1 features a premium upper with a hemp construction and woven textile highlighted by subtle black outlines. Its traditional swoosh sports an elegant grained leather that perfectly matches the panel where the eyelets sit. Additionally, the shoe presents a refined finish as its tongue branding features the "World Make" inscription and its insoles are crafted from beautiful cork. Finally, its white sole is enhanced by a Big Bubble Air unit, completing the design of this exceptional pair.
The Nike Air Max 1 '86 "World Make Korea" will be the first pair to drop at 9 AM, priced at 170 euros.

Air Jordan 1 Low "World Make Japan"
It seems the motto for this SNKRS Day 2023 is travel. For its second drop, the Swoosh brand continues its journey to Japan and infuses its Air Jordan 1 Low with sashiko, a traditional art of stitching, used today to embellish patchwork.
For this occasion, the unmistakable Jordan low-top appears with an elegant denim construction punctuated by white and blue panels featuring decorations that incorporate the ancestral sashiko technique. To complete its tribute to the Land of the Rising Sun, the Air Jordan logo on the heel tab is also embroidered and cork insoles are added. Finally, an aged treatment brilliantly completes the remarkable work done on the low-top.
The Air Jordan 1 Low "World Make Japan" will drop at 10:30 AM, priced at 140 euros.

Nike Dunk Low "Vintage Navy"
A fan of retro lines, the Swoosh brand is not done with its Nike Dunk Low! Following the Reimagined collection, Nike's designers give it a retro treatment. After a Nike Dunk Low WMNS "Vintage Green" that was only released in the US, a brand new version is expected on this special day.
The iconic low-top features an elegant two-tone contrast of navy blue and white. The usual brandings on the tongue and heel tab harmonize with the rest of the pair for a successful effect. And to give it its vintage look, the laces and sole are dressed in a cream tint.
No exclusivity this time, the Nike Dunk Low "Vintage Navy" will be available from 12:30 PM, priced at 120 euros.

Nike Air Max Plus "Pure Platinum"
If SNKRS Day is a cause for celebration, the Swoosh brand invites you to celebrate twice as much on its special day with the Nike Air Max Plus. Better known as the Nike Tn, the silhouette designed by Sean McDowell celebrates its twenty-fifth anniversary this year and will obviously be present.
If you have a thing for sleek and refined finishes, this Tn is made for you! The upper features an elegant blend ranging from cream to blue-grey on a base composed of mesh and suede. Additionally, the signature TPU overlays are this time matched to the mini swoosh and enhanced with a few touches of 3M reflective material. Finally, the sole matches the pair as it comes in an immaculate tint.
You can cop the Nike Air Max Plus "Pure Platinum" at 2 PM, priced at 200 euros.

Nike Air Footscape Woven "Cow Print"
In recent months, the sportswear brand has brought back numerous silhouettes from its archives. For SNKRS Day 2023, it heads west and showcases a hybrid model created by Tory Orzeck in 2006: the Nike Air Footscape Woven.
Combining an Air Footscape and an Air Woven, this version features an upper in faux fur entirely covered in a cow print pattern. It also sports an asymmetric lacing system and an immaculate weave running along the upper. Finally, a Footscape sole completes this hybrid design, ensuring optimal comfort.
The Nike Air Footscape Woven "Cow Print" will release at 3 PM, priced at 180 euros.

Possible drops:
Air Jordan 4 Retro "Red Cement"
What would a SNKRS Day be without an iteration from Tinker Hatfield? And not just any, as the "Red Cement" version is expected throughout the day.
As its name suggests, it takes the color blocking from the Air Jordan 4 "White Cement" from 1989. However, the iconic grey shade is swapped for red tones, whether on the rear clips, the heel tab, or along the collar. This will not stop it from being a must-cop.
The Air Jordan 4 Retro "Red Cement" should drop during SNKRS Day, priced at 210 euros. Shock Drop? SNKRS Pass? For now, nothing indicates how it will be released, so you will need to stay alert as it could be hiding in the app.

Nike Dunk Low "University Red"
It is possible that the Swoosh brand brings back another Nike Dunk Low. Not just any pair, as this one features the colors of the Be True To Your School pack.
While the low-top already restocked in 2020, it is back and proudly sports the colors of New York's Saint John's University, namely red and white. A fine tribute combined with the traditional finishes of the Nike Dunk Low, allowing it to return to its purest design, while also celebrating the day's festivities.
The Nike Dunk Low "University Red" is expected during SNKRS Day. Unlike the confirmed drops, nothing indicates the details of its release.
