Twenty-six years after its launch, the Nike Air Max 2000 is set to make its comeback. Released in 2000 under the Alpha Project banner, this silhouette has never seen any reissues until now. That’s about to change with Supreme, which just unveiled its own take in its Fall/Winter 2026 lookbook. Now presented as the Air Max 2001 Air Ecstasy, this new collaboration marks the return of an iconic silhouette from Nike's archives.

For this first encounter, the New York brand stays true to the unique architecture of the shoe. James Jebbia and his creative teams, however, introduce a few changes, starting with the TPU elements that structure the whole design. Typically arranged in horizontal lines, these have been reworked to form the inscription “Supreme”. The rest of the silhouette retains the codes of the original, featuring its red upper and chrome Air units.

Initially revealed in a red colorway, the collaboration will ultimately be offered in three variations, including a black version and a blue version to complete the launch. The Supreme x Nike Air Max 2001 Ecstasy collection will be available starting August 27 on the Supreme website and in its stores, followed by a release in Asia on August 29.
