The Jordan Design Studio has its first winner. After several months of competition, Syn Zhuang, representing Beijing, emerged victorious at the global final held in Shanghai. Competing against the seven other finalists of the Jordan Design Studio, the designer impressed the sportswear brand with her reinterpretation of the Air Jordan 1 High, designed around one idea: making the silhouette more suitable for everyday wear, especially for women. This victory now allows her prototype to move to the next stage.

For her Air Jordan 1, Syn Zhuang chose to retain some of the historical elements of the model while radically altering its upper. The silhouette features a collar that can fold over the lacing system to provide a new structure. With this victory, Syn Zhuang's project is not expected to remain at the prototype stage. The designer will now continue her work alongside Jordan to develop the silhouette, ultimately aiming to bring it to market. For now, no release date or price has been announced.
