The appointment of Teddy Santis as Creative Director of the Made In USA line for the 2022/2023 season marks a new turning point for the Boston-based brand. Indeed, the famous founder of the Aimé Leon Dore label, who helped bring the New Balance 550 model back into the spotlight, is now taking on the model celebrating its fortieth anniversary: the New Balance 990. While Season 1, which was a resounding success thanks to its diverse range of pairs and clothing collection, is coming to an end, it is now time for Made In USA Season 2 to emerge. Men's and women's drops are planned throughout this fall/winter 2022 season, combining new pairs and clothing inspired by the beauty of nature, outdoor activities and gear.
October 27, 2022: The First Drop
This new series by Teddy Santis will be manufactured in the United States using premium materials, just like the first season. The silhouettes share a similar composition with a beige mesh base overlaid with olive green suede panels on the mudguard, quarter panel and eyelets. Shaggy beige suede elements add texture and contrast on the 990V2 and 990V3 versions. Teddy Santis and New Balance chose to focus on understated, seasonal colorways to offer elegant pairs that perfectly match their clothing offering. Additionally, to introduce a vintage feel and refine the designs, the Aimé Leon Dore founder opted for red and navy blue accents on the brandings and inscriptions.
Finally, with typical inspiration drawn from 1980s running shoes, the Abzorb and Encap technology soles, corresponding respectively to the 990V2 and 990V3 models, will complete these new sneakers.
The New Balance 990V1 "Cream Olive", New Balance 990V2 "Olive Beige" and New Balance 990V3 "Green Cream" from the Made In USA lineup will release on October 27, 2022 on the New Balance website and at other retailers. They are priced at €220, €230 and €240 respectively.

View on the calendarTo complete the second Made In USA collection, the sneaker pairs will be accompanied by a clothing collection that includes essentials for facing winter: t-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants, crewneck pullovers, sleeveless puffer jackets, coats and accessories. The various apparel pieces will follow the same colorway as the New Balance 990, with shades ranging from forest green to brown.

November 23, 2022: The Second Drop
The American sportswear brand has already unveiled two more pairs that will complete the Made In USA collection. These are again New Balance 990 models, but this time in white, beige and blue tones.
These feature a white mesh upper with beige and grey leather overlays. To enhance these iterations and bring color during the approaching cold season, royal blue elements have been added on the brandings, ankle collar, heel tab and toe box. Finally, you will find a comfortable Abzorb sole on the New Balance 990V2 and Encap technology on the New Balance 990V3, both with a vintage look.
From the Made In USA range, the New Balance 990V2 "White Blue" and the New Balance 990V3 "Cream Blue" are expected to release on November 23 on the New Balance website and at other retailers. They will be priced at €230 and €240 respectively.
