A few months after asking her followers about her upcoming collaboration, the Harlem-born artist is now set to tackle the Air Jordan 16. Following the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2 “A Rose Harlem” in 2023 and the Air Jordan 3 “Concrete Rose” revealed earlier this year, Teyana Taylor is expected to return with a less anticipated silhouette from the Jordan catalog.
Launched in 2001, the Air Jordan 16 was designed by Wilson Smith III, the first designer to succeed Tinker Hatfield on Michael Jordan's main line. The silhouette is particularly distinguished by its removable lace cover, a feature that could offer new possibilities for Teyana Taylor. After two collaborations marked by her floral universe and her roots in Harlem, the artist is set to continue her work on a model that has been less explored by Jordan in its collaborations. While no visuals have been revealed yet, the Teyana Taylor x Air Jordan 16 is expected to drop in summer 2027.
