For fall 2026, Vans continues to develop its Pearlized collection with a new series dedicated to the Old Skool 36.
Vans is already gearing up for the next installment of its Pearlized collection. After several releases in recent months, the California brand has just unveiled its lineup for Fall 2026. First launched through a collaboration with Satoshi Nakamoto, the Pearlized treatment has since been integrated into Vans' catalog with a clear vision: to reimagine the look of its classics through a focus on wear and customization.
For this new series, Vans is fully concentrating on the Old Skool 36. Introduced within the Vans Premium range, the silhouette retains the signature lines of the model with added attention to materials and finishes. Here, the model intentionally adopts a worn look, complemented by several details in pearls and crystals. The goal? To replicate the appearance of a sneaker that has already been worn before being gradually reimagined and customized.
Beyond the aesthetic treatment, the Old Skool 36 also benefits from premium materials and several adjustments made to the shape and fit of Vans' historical models. And Vans now plans to roll out Pearlized throughout the season. Between new releases and iconic returns, several drops are already set to complete the collection from September to December.
Vans continues to revisit its classics
For this new series, Vans is leaning on one of the oldest silhouettes in its catalog. Launched in 1977 under the name Style 36, the Old Skool is the second skate shoe developed by Vans and notably the first to feature the iconic Sidestripe. Renamed Old Skool in the early 90s, the model retains several elements of its historical construction. Nearly fifty years later, Vans continues to evolve its look.
For the occasion, the brand is diving back into its archives. Unveiled for the first time in 2018, the Yacht Club colorway is making a comeback eight years later, this time with a Pearlized treatment. Inspired by maritime signal flags, the sneaker combines blue, green, red, and yellow in a construction that also references 90s sportswear. Alongside the Yacht Club, the California brand is also preparing to bring back its Old Skool 36 Pearlized “Marshmallow”. Previously released, the silhouette returns in a clean construction. For this new design, Vans is pushing the concept a bit further by adding extra details.

View on the calendarBut Vans isn't just banking on its previous releases. Starting in November, the Old Skool 36 will feature three new designs. This will allow Vans to gradually expand its range without straying from its DNA. A final variation will complete the series in December, wrapping up Vans' Pearlized program for 2026.
So when is it dropping?
The launch of the Vans Old Skool 36 Pearlized series is set for September 10. After that, several launches and restocks are scheduled for November 12, 19, and 27, with a final drop on December 10. The different silhouettes will be available on the Vans website. Expect to pay €130 for each sneaker.
