While New Balance recently unveiled its new model, the New Balance "Warped Runner", the brand is not neglecting its archives. Indeed, 2023 still has plenty of surprises in store, as the Boston-based brand plans to bring back a silhouette from its archives: the New Balance 769.
First introduced in 2009, it brilliantly continued New Balance's philosophy, drawing cues from the New Balance 768: a lightweight stability shoe with solid improvements. As the year draws to a close, the NB 769 is set to make a notable return, with first visuals of two pairs just surfacing.
Two bold colorways already in the works
It was on the social network Reddit that two first New Balance 769 pairs appeared. At first glance, each version features a colorful upper, reminiscent of collaborative pairs with Action Bronson or Salehe Bembury and his latest New Balance 1906R.
The first pair sports a striking mix of red, yellow and black, sitting on a mesh base paired with leather overlays. The second one offers a dynamic blend of blue, yellow, green, red, and a deep purple. Both silhouettes feature N branding as well as the 769 inscription. Finally, they both sit on a traditional ABZORB sole.
At this point, very little is known about the return of the New Balance 769. However, since some individuals already have their hands on these two re-emerging silhouettes, more information should surface soon.
These two New Balance 769 pairs could drop during the Fall/Winter 2023 season on New Balance and at select retailers. The price remains unknown for now.
