Time to celebrate! For over five years, the A Ma Maniere (AMM) label and Nike have been collaborating to offer the sneaker world striking silhouettes that have become must-haves. This year, the Atlanta-based boutique is preparing to celebrate its tenth anniversary. While most brands would settle for releasing a single anniversary pair, AMM has chosen to go big by unveiling a six-pair pack in collaboration with the Swoosh, titled "While You Were Sleeping."
Headlining this collection, two revisited classics from the Jordan division: the Air Jordan 3 and the Air Jordan 4, announced several months ago. However, the collection doesn't stop there. For the first time, James Whitner's label takes on the Air Jordan 39, a pair recently introduced by the division and first worn by Paolo Banchero during the start of the Orlando Magic playoffs.
Repeating monogram pattern in jacquard across the entire surface. Suede overlays. There's no doubt, AMM merges its identity with Jumpman's new model, which features a two-tone pattern with a Yeezy 380 feel. On the colorway side, the pair showcases the soft tones characteristic of the A Ma Maniere palette, including purple, diffused taupe, and black.
A Six-Part Celebration: From Jordan to Nike
James Whitner and his teams are also planning a return to the origins of this fruitful partnership by including a bold reinterpretation of the Air Force 1. While the A Ma Maniere x Nike Air Force 1 "Hand Wash Cold" released in 2019 had already left its mark, it seems this new version of Bruce Kilgore's design follows suit. Crafted from premium leather, the AF1 gets a new perspective through a quilted lining refined with a multitude of characters. Silver Swooshes are added for a touch of sophistication to the 1982 classic.
Another centerpiece of the pack: the A Ma Maniere x Nike Air Max 95, which had been the subject of rumors since January. Long considered an uncertain project, this exclusive version is finally confirmed by the label and ready to hit the shelves. And while the Air Max 95 design has remained virtually unchanged since its introduction in 1995, the pair is enriched here with premium details, including visible stitching and a colorway that makes it more upscale than ever.
Finally, the two partners complete the "While You Were Sleeping" pack with a Converse Weapon (yes, Converse has been owned by Nike since 2003). A surprising choice that could nonetheless leave a lasting impression. The question remains whether AMM will continue to grow its increasing influence within the sneaker world.
