Nike invites you to its annual event taking place this Sunday.
If you're a sneaker addict, you've certainly heard of the Air Max Day! Since 2014, March 26 has been dedicated to the iconic and timeless Nike Air Max range. The chosen date is obviously no coincidence, as it corresponds to the release date of the very first Nike Air Max, on March 26, 1987.
Throughout last year, celebrating the 35th anniversary of this gem that transcends generations, we witnessed drops of exclusive pairs that won over many fans! There was something for everyone, including the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 Wave "White Grey", the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 "Baroque Brown", the return of the Nike Air Max 97 NH "Metallic Silver", and the trending Nike Air Max 95 "Anatomy Of Air".
In 2023, the Swoosh brand continues its commemorative day but favors quality over quantity, as it will be an opportunity to pay tribute to its heritage with a historic model straight from the archives, while also unveiling a brand-new silhouette.

Iconic, irreplaceable, and the originator of an entire lineup: the Big Bubble is back! As rare as it is exceptional, this iteration will be reproduced practically identically to the retro version. Indeed, the large visible air bubble technology experienced some issues upon its initial release, particularly because the Air unit would sometimes crack when temperatures dropped. This quickly led to an Air Max 1 with a smaller and more durable unit.
Since that day, we hadn't seen its predecessor, but the Air Max Day 2023 had other plans! It was at the end of the Air Max Day 2022 livestream that Jamie Paige, head of the Swoosh brand's product line, and designer Jonathan Kosenick unveiled the return of the Nike Air Max 1 '86 "Big Bubble".
Featuring the same appearance and colorblocking, this reissue sports a white mesh base paired with light grey leather overlays on the quarter panel, eyelets, and heel. Of course, the vibrant red revealed in 1987 will make an appearance, dressing the lateral Swoosh, the mudguard, and the inscriptions on the heel tab and tongue. Finally, the pair's centerpiece is prominently highlighted through its pristine midsole and tricolor outsole.
This exceptional model will come with a special box featuring an aged effect. It will be available on March 26, 2023 in men's and women's sizing at a retail price of €160 on SNKRS and at other retailers.

The big day won't be reserved solely for the return of the historic pair that originated the entire Air Max 1 range. Indeed, a more sporty-looking silhouette will make its debut. With a similar appearance to the Nike Air Max 270, this new innovation from the Beaverton brand is already shaping up to be a must-have!
For this new construction, Nike opts for a white mesh base featuring a partially visible grey lateral Swoosh. Additionally, a large white leather overlay extends from the mudguard to the heel, which is equipped with a TPU reinforcement. Red accents are also added with a mini Swoosh, new branding on the tongue, and eyelets in the same shade. Finally, reflective 3M elements give it a polished finish.
This pair will undoubtedly make a very promising debut on March 26, 2023 at €160. Furthermore, the Nike Air Max Pulse "Photon Dust" will also be available in WMNS sizing. Mark your calendars!
