Never where you expect it, Rei Kawakubo continues to expand her collaboration with New Balance. After her interpretation of the New Balance 860v2, the Japanese label extends its creative dialogue with the Bostonians. At the heart of the project: the New Balance 1890A. In the continuity of Junya Watanabe and his approach to the New Balance 1906L, this new silhouette is ready to assert itself, supported by two premium CDG constructions.
While the first version, monochrome, plays the card of minimalism: black suede and grained leather, the second opts for a lighter colorway. On the side of the overlays, each pair features embossed layers, while maintaining a structure unique to the Comme des Garçons line. On the technical side, the 1890A relies on the sole of the 2002. A classic from the catalog, recognized for its comfort and running heritage. For now, no price has been announced, the two silhouettes are expected to hit the shelves by the end of 2026.
