Freshgoods lands in Paris with a teaser of a new New Balance. An exclusive project, an unprecedented silhouette that once again revives the link between design and deep storytelling.
As all eyes turn to Paris for the Fall/Winter 2026 Fashion Week from June 24 to 29, a familiar silhouette is ready to emerge: Joe Freshgoods'. After the release of his 992 Aged Well last February, the creator from Chicago's West Side is back with an original project, with timing as subtle as it is strategic. Via his social media, JFG unveiled his next collaboration, a silhouette just recently introduced into the Boston brand's catalog: the New Balance 2000 Abzorb.

Tucked inside a Louis Vuitton bag with its recognizable monogram, the pair sports a soft pink hue, the artist's signature tone. No coincidence, the creator accompanies it with an evocative message: "Heading to Paris for a few weeks. I've spent a lot of time outside these past few years. This time, I came with gifts. Special project. Find me in the street, I might have something for you, not for sale, but to celebrate". A visual and narrative signature reinforced by the mention: "Paris only".
Joe Freshgoods, born Joseph Robinson, is no longer just an influential designer from Chicago. In just a few years, he has established himself as one of New Balance's most strategic collaborators. His previous creations, often loaded with personal narratives, have allowed the Boston brand to communicate differently. By combining deep storytelling, accessible aesthetics, and community engagement, Joe Freshgoods has built a design vision where every pair is a story to wear.
And pink sets the tone
At first glance, the pair's insoles bear the handwritten mention "Everything Comes From Pink", in cursive. A simple phrase, but one that resonates deeply. Because for Joe Freshgoods, pink isn't just a color. It's a symbol. A connection. A theme he has explored since his early days. The Abzorb 2000, with its chunky sole and retro-futuristic lines, represents a perfect canvas for this new collaboration.
Although freshly introduced to the market with the New Balance 2000 Abzorb Still Water, this design seems tailored for JFG's narrative style: hybrid, at the crossroads of old and modern, of performance and culture. No release date has been announced yet. With a potential "in the street" distribution, everything suggests this launch could coincide with Fashion Week. And as often with Joe Freshgoods, the real gift isn't the shoe, but the story it tells.
