After reworking the Air Max SNDR, Kids of Immigrants takes on an iconic football silhouette: the Total 90.
While some silhouettes seemed frozen in time, the Nike Total 90 is no longer one of them. Laceless design. Football DNA. The Total 90 belongs to a specific era, the one of Roberto Carlos's strikes and the synthetic fields of Sunday. But Kids of Immigrants (K.O.I) has never been afraid to shake up the classics. After several discreet months, the brand co-founded by Daniel Buezo announces its grand return. This time, K.O.I has chosen an iconic silhouette: the Nike Total 90. Known for its clean design and its history in football, this pair becomes the playground for K.O.I, ready to inject its DNA.
While the Air Max SNDR explored textures with Nike's classic codes to create a unique experience, the Total 90 emphasizes the heritage of the sport. K.O.I plays with contrast, transforming the pair. The iconic laceless design, a signature of the T90, is preserved but reinterpreted through two mules: one black, the other beige. Leather overlays. Suede. Pops of bright colors. No doubt, both silhouettes reflect both respect for the shoe's DNA and the stylistic imprint of the California brand.

If Daniel Buezo has already teased a first look at one of the silhouettes, Puerto Rican artist Rauw Alejandro has been photographed, confirming the existence of this collaboration. Early images hint at an approach that goes well beyond just a product: it's a meeting of urban culture and global football.
The Total 90 fits into a larger context. With the 2026 World Cup approaching and some matches taking place in the Los Angeles area, the choice to revisit a model at this precise moment seems far from trivial. Kids of Immigrants transforms the silhouette into a uniting symbol, around the slogan “T90”, reinterpreted as “Together 90”. A way to remind us that, despite borders and languages, football remains a universal language capable of bringing communities together.

The collaboration also illustrates K.O.I's ability to create bridges between the world of sports and streetwear. The T90 Mule embodies a message of inclusion, sharing, and passion for football, while maintaining the minimalist elegance that characterizes the brand. This project also marks a new step for Kids of Immigrants and Nike. After a deliberately quiet year in terms of releases in 2025, the duo seems to have taken the time to build a broader vision, where each product fits into a global narrative.
So when is it dropping?
Now we just need to know the exact moment when this vision will come to life. While no official date has been announced yet, all signs point to a release expected in summer 2026, as the World Cup approaches. Stay sharp!
