Following the L003 Neo from 2023, the franchise called upon Highsnobiety to further refresh its lineup. The result? A silhouette combining sport, style, and technology for a fresh and unique new aesthetic. In short, a brand new fierce crocodile that won't be tamed so easily.
Since its first tennis shoe unveiled in 1958, the Lacoste sneaker has evolved around several core principles: Grip. Durability. Elegance. The design philosophy was the same as today, driven by a single desire: to innovate. To honor founder René Lacoste's vision, the famous French brand joined forces with the streetwear site most attuned to sport, street, and urban cultures, which did not hesitate to merge its athletic DNA with today's lifestyle. From the courts to the city, it's just one step. Designed with attention to detail, the collaboration between the two partners first revealed an ultra-limited silhouette paying tribute to tennis courts. And it is with a harmonious and refined palette mixing white, beige, and green that the design named "Shades of Tennis" was born. Subtle details. Refined nuances. The silhouette goes beyond its aesthetics. Lacoste delivers a premium construction that mixes suede, quilted mesh, and tone-on-tone leather. On the technical side, the pair is designed for comfort and cushioning with a padded tongue and an Ortholite insole added for extra support.
"We wanted to embrace a certain idea of timelessness with a forward-looking silhouette. With the 'Shades of Tennis' design, we explored every aspect of comfort while ensuring a very fashionable silhouette" says Catherine Spindler, Deputy CEO of Lacoste. A successful bet that was accompanied by a full capsule collection including polo, t-shirt, hoodie, joggers, and accessories to reinforce its status as a staple.
