As every week, the sneaker world has been marked by numerous announcements. Between new designs and reinterpretations, there has been movement. Details!
Patta and Nike, from the field to the street
When football culture meets the street, Patta is present. As the Amsterdam shop is about to drop its versions of the Nike Air Max 90, a new, more unexpected project is shaking up its partnership with the Swoosh: the Nike Cryoshot Mercurial R9. Unveiled by Guillaume Schmidt, co-owner of Patta, the first model from the Cryoshot series, worn by Ronaldo during the 1998 World Cup, is getting a complete restructuring. Out with the studs, the pair is rethought with a translucent TPU cage that structures the whole and affirms a futuristic appearance. In terms of colors, the original blue and yellow give way to a metallic silver leather, contrasted by an incandescent orange, in homage to Patta's Dutch roots. While no release date has been confirmed yet, one thing is certain: the field is no longer enough...
The Nike Air Max 1000 for summer 2025

It's official: the Nike Air Max 1000 will make its debut this season! Presented in preview during the ninth edition of ComplexCon last November, the pair is finally ready to join the Air Max range. Inspired by the iconic Air Max 1, this new design revisits its design thanks to 3D printing technology. The iconic elements of the Nike Air Max 1 are reinterpreted to make way for a wavy mudguard while a Swoosh is subtly embossed on the side. The Air unit, meanwhile, is placed under the heel for optimal comfort and cushioning. Designed in partnership with Zellerfeld, a pioneer in advanced 3D printing, the design pushes the boundaries of traditional manufacturing for a fluid, expressive, and optimized design. John Hoke, Nike's Chief Innovation Officer, shared his enthusiasm for this innovative model: “What excites me most about the Air Max 1000 is the new solutions we can achieve through superior manufacturing. It's a blend of control, precision, and expression, all of which are essential to sport and design. When these variables are multiplied at the same time, the future of our product seems limitless.” And while event attendees may have glimpsed multiple colorways, it is the Nike Air Max 1000 “Oatmeal” that will serve as the first launch. Stay tuned!
The loafer makes its way to Nike Air Max
Casual chic or sportswear? Why not both? While Junya Watanabe surprised everyone with the arrival of the New Balance 1906L last September, it's now the Swoosh's turn to offer its variant: the Nike Air Max Phenomena SWDC. While mixing a loafer with a sneaker is uncharted territory, Nike boldly combines the cushioning of the Nike Air Max SNDR with the upper of a leather loafer. The result? An interesting, captivating, and versatile model ready to make its entry into the Air Max range.
Squid Game goes KAWS
As season 3 of the series is set to premiere on Netflix on June 27, KAWS unveils a sequel to the KAWS CHUL-SU collection. In collaboration with Netflix and AllRightReserved, the American artist delivers, for the occasion, two versions of his creation: one colorful, the other monochrome. Hat firmly on his head. Striped t-shirt. Frozen posture. No doubt, the New York artist once again imposes his version between pop culture and dystopian drift. Both measure 38cm, come with a certificate of authenticity, and will be available online starting June 19 at 10 AM. Be quick.
