As every week, the sneaker world has been filled with numerous announcements. Between new designs and reinterpretations, there has been movement. Details!
After the Air Max 90, Patta returns with the DN8
The legendary shop in Amsterdam, founded by Edson Sabajo and Guillaume “Gee” Schmidt in 2004, is already ready for its big return, with the Swoosh! After the drop of the Nike Air Max 90 and the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 “Chlorophyll,” the Dutch brand is set to bring its creative vision to another silhouette: the Nike Air Max DN8. A choice that is not surprising given Patta's love for the Air Max range. According to an initial visual, the pair will take the technological recipe of the eight dynamic tubes, strategically placed under the sole. In terms of color, the palette oscillates between black, white, and touches of blue. And while the release is scheduled for 2025, the details remain well guarded by both partners. One thing is for sure: the duo is hitting harder than ever this year.
Rosalía puts her sneakers on at New Balance
The Bostonians leave nothing to chance. And certainly not their choice of ambassadors. And for good reason: the Spanish artist with multiple Grammys, Rosalía, officially becomes the new face of the Beaverton brand. In a first campaign orchestrated by American Haiku and filmed by Alex Prager, the Barcelona icon participates in the development of the New Balance 204L, seen a few times with exclusive collaborators like Kith or Auralee. This summer, the 204L is set to shift into high gear, with a wider launch accompanied by the branding “Rosalía x New Balance.” Following a discreet stint with the Swoosh, Rosalía seems to have found with New Balance a platform for expression that suits her. The New Balance 204L, for its part, will be available starting July 30.
Nike puts on a live show on SNKRS: new silhouettes, new ambitions
As usual, Nike Basketball organized the SNKRS Showcase from its headquarters in New York to unveil a new series of models that will mark the court until 2026. On the agenda: Sabrina 3, Giannis Freak 7, and GT-Future, designed to cater to different playing styles and athlete profiles. The presentation also revealed new colorways for the KD18, Ja 3, and GT Cut 3 by Jordan Poole. On the Foamposite side, the return of the Air Foamposite One, Air Foamposite Pro, and Air Flightposite confirms the Swoosh's interest in its archives. One thing is for sure: the presentation highlighted the integration of innovative materials and bold finishes, reflecting Nike's investment in both performance and basketball culture. The first models will arrive as early as this month. Be quick!
