As every week, the sneaker world has been marked by numerous announcements. Between new designs and reinterpretations, there has been movement. Details!
Virgil Abloh, an XXL retrospective at the Grand Palais
The capital is preparing to celebrate one of its most disruptive creators. The Grand Palais opens its doors to The Codes, the first European retrospective dedicated to the designer who passed away in 2021. Designed as a multidisciplinary manifesto, this monumental exhibition, led by the Virgil Abloh Archives in partnership with Nike, unveils nearly 20,000 pieces. On the agenda: sketches, objects, works, from two decades of creation. From sneakers to conceptual works, from Louis Vuitton runways to architectural projects, the exhibition deploys its codes that connect Off-White and its most cutting-edge collaborations. Inaugurated on September 30 (the very day of his birthday), and then installed until October 10, 2025, The Codes is set to offer a true act of memory, a living tribute to the one who redefined the contours of contemporary creation.
ARTE reinvents the three stripes
Attention to fans of clean lines: it seems that the Belgian brand ARTE signs its first collaboration with the three stripes of the German equipment manufacturer. For the first time, ARTE collaborates with adidas on a unique capsule collection planned for Autumn/Winter 2025. The goal? To explore art and design as instruments of change. While no visuals currently provide a first glimpse, the collaboration should highlight graphic minimalism and a clean aesthetic with revisited silhouettes. One thing is certain: ARTE and adidas are preparing a common ground where form meets function.
JJJJound and Salomon, the minimalist outdoor duo is back
Justin Saunders is not done with Salomon. After a first interpretation of the XT-Wings 2, the Montreal label is now tackling the Salomon XT-6 with two designs in preparation. Technical silhouette. Subtle details. Discreet branding. The signature of the Canadian studio subtly weaves into the seams and continues to maintain its grounding in the outdoor universe, without ever renouncing its minimalist aesthetic. The two pairs will make their debut in the fall. Be quick!
New New Balance, Salehe Bembury version
After following the Knicks during the NBA playoffs 2024/2025, the Los Angeles-based designer returns to his roots: the sneaker. Salehe Bembury teases his upcoming collaboration with the Bostonians around the New Balance 1000. On the agenda: a bold mix of colors and materials ranging from electric blue to neon green while subtle colored details refine the whole. In terms of construction, the pair features a combination of premium suede, mesh, and textured patent leather, faithful to Bembury's artisanal approach. The result? A proposal as vibrant as it is technical, already ready to hit the shelves.

Attention to nostalgia for the Duel Monsters: the Swoosh is about to cross cards with Yu-Gi-Oh! for a unique collaboration around the Air Max Muscle 95 QS. A direct nod to the Air Muscle, a mythical silhouette worn in the manga. Sharp design. Assumed nod: the pair is likely to summon the power of the Millennium Puzzle this year.
