The Boston-based brand kicks off the year with four colorways of a brand-new Protection Pack that is already generating a lot of buzz. Following the success of the New Balance 2002R Protection Pack, it is now the New Balance 1906D's turn to become a must-cop in 2023. Their deconstructed silhouettes come dressed in understated yet effective tones, making them easy to pair with any outfit.
You will have the choice between four versions: the Harbor Grey, the Black, the Reflection and finally the Turtledove. These feature a comfortable NERGY sole, NLOCK branding on the quarter panel as well as fine finishes on the hairy suede overlays.

JJJJound x Bape Sta "White Navy"

The new collaboration between the Montreal-based label and the Japanese brand is sure to win many people over. JJJJound, known for its refined and elegant designs, brings that signature touch to a Bape Sta sneaker through premium materials and a minimalist colorway. Additionally, a special box and a clothing collection matching the pair's colors will accompany this new edition.
This two-tone iteration features a premium white leather upper and several navy blue details such as the famous Bape Star logo on the quarter panel, the heel tab and the insoles bearing the "JJJJound" inscription, as well as branding on the tongue.

From the Move To Zero range, which aims to achieve zero waste and a zero carbon footprint by promoting sustainability, this Nike Dunk Low Next Nature is made of over 20% recycled materials. The pair keeps it simple with a two-tone white and mint green upper, paired with vibrant neon green insoles.

Much like the Nike Dunk Low Next Nature WMNS "White Mint", this version of the lowtop will see a restock to kick off 2023. First released in 2021, this simple and elegant two-tone pair had quickly won over sneaker enthusiasts.
The clean white base is paired with light grey overlays on the quarter panel, mudguard, eyelets and heel. The tongue branding, heel tab and sole are two-tone and harmonize with the rest of this Nike Dunk Low.

Jordan Brand intends to stay on top of the trends in 2023 by unveiling new silhouettes and announcing the re-release of iconic models. January 14 will mark the release of the first Air Jordan 1 High of 2023, opening the door for the models to come.
This pair features a pristine white leather upper, with blue overlays on the eyelets and mudguard. The heel and quarter panel, on the other hand, are dressed in light grey, making the iconic Wings logo stand out. To tie the sneaker together, the swoosh adopts the blue colorway while the outsole goes with grey to contrast with the traditional white midsole.

Salehe Bembury x New Balance 990V2 "Sand Be The Time"

The Boston-based brand and the designer are no strangers to working together. Several of their collaborations have been successful, much like his collaboration with Crocs which made a notable impact in sneaker culture. This year, they unveil the "Sand Be The Time" campaign, which is vibrant and inspires a sense of escape.
This elaborately crafted pair features various materials and textures in orange, peach and coral tones. It is built on a mesh base accompanied by hairy suede elements and the signature lateral "N" in purple chenille. Finally, the design rests on an Abzorb sole that provides excellent comfort.
The release of the Salehe Bembury x New Balance 990V2 "Sand Be The Time" was slightly delayed. Initially scheduled for December 8, 2022, the pair will finally drop on January 18 on New Balance and at other retailers. It is priced at 230EUR.

Air Jordan 1 Low OG "Year of the Rabbit"

The first month of 2023 will also mark the festivities surrounding Chinese New Year. Indeed, the start of the year gives way to the creation of special edition pairs by the Beaverton-based brand, honoring ancestral Asian traditions. To celebrate the Year of the Rabbit, the brand takes a literal approach and unveils its most popular silhouettes in a full pack that includes no fewer than ten pairs, among them the Air Jordan 1 Low.
Particularly visible this year, notably thanks to the Travis Scott touch, the lowtop gets a new elegant design and will be limited to just 5,000 pairs. Furthermore, while the pair features numerous elements referencing the animal, the inside of the tongue displays the pair's number within the limited run.

Union LA regularly collaborates with Jordan Brand on iconic pairs, such as the Air Jordan 4 and the Air Jordan 2, which were immediately well-received and became highly sought-after pairs among sneakerheads.
This version features an upper entirely covered in white canvas. The signature yellow Union tag is also present beneath the swoosh and matches the contrast stitching that adds more character to this understated lowtop. Additionally, the aged sole is reminiscent of previous collaborations between the two brands. Finally, the originality lies in the grey swoosh, which is interchangeable and can be swapped for a blue logo.
