A retro-flavoured month of March. After a February packed with restocks and new releases, the momentum continues with an equally busy schedule. This month, Nike dives deep into its archives and brings back some of its most iconic classics. But that’s not all: Air Max Day is slowly taking shape and is already teasing its fair share of surprises.
Kylian Mbappé x Nike Air Max Plus VII
Twenty years after its first appearance, the Nike Air Max Plus VII is ready to make a comeback with a clear ambition: bridging past and present. Far from a simple reissue, the sportswear giant is refreshing the silhouette with a sharper, more technical build, while staying true to its DNA. The goal? Playing with contrasts—between technical mesh and familiar colour palettes, classic lines and structural innovation. This month, Nike takes things one step further with an exclusive version of the Nike Air Max Plus VII, designed with and for Kylian Mbappé. This isn’t the first time the Real Madrid forward has crossed paths with the Air Max family. In 2024, Mbappé was spotted wearing the Nike Air Mercurial TN Purple, directly inspired by the 1998 Voltage Purple. This time around, the forward unveils a pair inspired by his high-performance football boots. Release is scheduled for March 2, priced at €190.

Patta x Nike Air Max 1 Wave
Some waves never truly break. They fade, leave a mark, then come crashing back with the same intensity. After redefining the Nike Air Max 90, Patta reconnects with its signature visual language and brings back “The Waves” collection. Originally released in 2021, the pack perfectly embodies Patta’s ability to reinterpret iconic silhouettes through its own lens. This time, founders Edson Sabajo and Gee Schmidt reveal a mostly white upper and midsole, highlighted with subtle orange accents. Every detail reinforces the continuity of the series, where heritage and innovation once again collide. The pair will be available on Patta on March 6. Nike Air Max 95 Zip Phantom
The Swoosh keeps digging into its archives. After the Nike Air Pegasus, Nike Air Max Portal, and Nike Air Max SNDR, it’s time for a cult early-2000s silhouette to return: the Nike Air Max 95 Zip. First released in 2001 and nicknamed the Air Max 95 Z, the model divided opinions with its central zip. Two decades later, Nike rides the revival wave with a modernised version. Leather steps aside in favour of suede. While the original proportions remain intact, the pair now boasts more premium finishes and a textured look. Signature details remain unchanged, including layered panels and the oversized Air bubble. The Nike Air Max 95 Zip drops on March 7 for €200.
