While multiple collaborations marked 2023, brands like Nike, New Balance and Asics are already announcing their next partners for 2024. After Nocta x Nike, J Balvin x Air Jordan 3 and Cecilie Bahnsen x Asics, discover some promising collaborations.
Patta x Nike Air Max 1
Following a three-way collaboration with Nike and Barcelona, Patta is preparing to renew its partnership with the Swoosh brand. According to @bubblekoppe, the Air Max 1 shape would once again be in the hands of the Dutch label. For now, no visuals or mock-ups provide a clear preview of what is being prepared. However, questions about the upcoming pair(s) are already arising. After the iconic "The Wave" pack that defined 2021, will the two partners draw inspiration from its wavy construction or deliver a completely innovative pair? The answer comes in fall 2024!
Jacquemus x Nike Air Max 1 '86
After reinterpreting the Nike Air Humara and the Nike J Force 1 Low, Jacquemus' creative touch will return to write a third chapter with Nike. This time, the young designer is set to bring his haute-couture vision to the Air Max 1 silhouette. Although the colors and materials used have not yet been revealed, it appears he is taking on the Air Max 1 '86 shape. An opportunity to discover a perfect fusion of tradition and modernity. While no additional information has surfaced, the pair is already announced for spring 2024.
Comme des Garçons x Air Max TL 2.5
It appears that the Swoosh brand is continuing its collaboration with one of its most successful partners: Comme des Garçons. While the Comme des Garçons Homme Plus x Nike Air Pegasus 2005 just dropped, a new collaboration between Rei Kawakubo's label and the Swoosh brand would already be in the works. According to @bubblekoppe, Comme Des Garçons is about to bring its unique touch to the 2006 Nike Air Max TL 2.5. For now, no mock-up provides a first look at the pair, which could arrive in fall 2024.
JJJJound x New Balance 2002R Gore-Tex
Good news: Justin Saunders will continue his partnership with the Boston-based brand! In turn, the Montreal-based label is embracing the urban exploration trend, both stylish and technical. The first visuals of a New Balance 2002R Gore-Tex already appear as a harmonious blend of style and functionality. The pair features a mesh and suede upper, offering texture and comfort. Currently, the JJJJound x New Balance 2002R Gore-Tex Olive has no set release date and could be available exclusively through JJJJound's website.
Kiko Kostadinov x Asics Gel-Novalis Teremoa
Long-time collaborators Kiko Kostadinov and Asics will team up once again. After the success of the Gel Quantum Zientzia, attention quickly turned to the avant-garde Novalis line, which will receive a new refined execution. However, unlike the initial versions, namely the Kiko Kostadinov x Asics Gel-Novalis Teremoa "Black Grey", "Java Pewter Purple" and "Brown Mustard", the two partners will elevate the pairs to a higher level. On Instagram, Kiko Kostadinov offers a first look at two pairs crafted with burgundy or sky blue mesh, replacing the previous leather dominance. One thing is certain: this collaboration is one to follow very closely next year!
