The Certified Lover Boy isn't done surprising us and seems ready to expand his creative footprint. Following the success of various versions of the Hot Step II, Drake is kicking off a new movement with his Nocta line. This time, the collaboration with Nike is sharpening its focus on Kevin Durant's signature silhouette: the Nike KD19. Under the Nocta branding, the pair showcases a construction inspired by the Nike Hyperflight, a silhouette from the 2000s catalog. This choice is no accident, considering the Canadian artist's deep connection to basketball and its footwear archives.
Spotted on Instagram by @allinliveee, the first visuals reveal two silhouettes: one in orange and the other in purple. Both colorways feature a shiny finish upper, enhancing that retrofuturistic aesthetic, while Nocta's tri-star emblem appears on the tongue and upper, alongside the Swoosh. A graphic black t-shirt, adorned with an archive photo of Durant dating back to the MySpace era, rounds out this new collaboration between the two partners. However, patience is key as the collection is expected in the fall!
