Jamais deux sans trois : Patta continue sa série avec Nike en revisitant la DN8.
The legendary shop in Amsterdam, founded by Edson Sabajo and Guillaume “Gee” Schmidt in 2004, is already ready to make its big return with the Swoosh. After the drop of the Nike Air Max 90 and the Nike Air Max 1, the Dutch brand is about to bring its creative vision to another silhouette: the Nike Air Max DN8. A choice that is far from surprising when you know Patta's love for the Air Max range.
Presented as the younger sibling of the Dynamic Air series, the Nike Air Max DN8 quickly imposed its unprecedented design. Inspired by Air Max heritage, but designed for a 2.0 generation, it combines aesthetic codes and innovative materials. Its nexkin mesh upper offers lightness and durability while displaying a characteristic translucent effect. Wavy cutouts run across the upper, reminiscent of the fluid spirit of certain Air Max models while affirming a resolutely modern identity.
Unveiled during Air Max Day 2025, the DN8 is still a recent silhouette. Few partners have had the opportunity to revisit it. As a result, Patta joins the select circle of collaborators like Supreme, Cav Empt, a Japanese label known for its avant-garde aesthetic, and PSG, a long-time partner of the Swoosh, who have benefited from collaborations on this model.
Four versions, one DNA
It is on this hybrid ground that Patta comes into play. The shop has chosen a bold approach. Unveiled by Angelo Baque (of Awake NY), the first model seen features a black version enhanced with immaculate touches on the Air units. A strong contrast that accentuates the futuristic aspect of the silhouette while recalling the Amsterdam shop's taste for effective palettes and subtle details.

The collaboration does not stop there: in total, four silhouettes are planned. Alongside the black version, the two partners are betting on an electric version that contrasts with the minimalism of the first. The other two play, for their part, on a subtle blend of blue and cream. In terms of technology, each pair incorporates eight Dynamic Air tubes, strategically distributed to maximize energy return and provide a bouncing sensation with every step. A process that positions the DN8 at the intersection of performance and lifestyle in the continuation of the Air Max saga, but with a more technical orientation towards the future.
With this quartet, Patta covers the entire spectrum and summarizes its DNA: knowing how to transition from raw audacity to controlled elegance, without ever losing its identity. While the release is scheduled for 2025, the details remain well guarded by both partners. One thing is for sure: the duo strikes harder than ever this year.
