If you missed it, today marked the famous SNKRS Day on Nike's app, and this time on a global scale! Throughout the day, the sneaker pairs announced in our article SNKRS Day 2023: What to Expect? all got their drop. Between exclusive releases, livestreams and interactive content, the WhenToCop team sums up the highlights of this SNKRS Day 2023, followed by thousands of people!
9 AM
To kick things off gently, we got the drop of the Nike Air Max 1 '86 "World Make Korea" via a three-minute raffle, which sold out fairly quickly! Its Big Bubble, eco-friendly materials and tribute to South Korea clearly won over sneaker enthusiasts!
10:30 AM
Next up, the Air Jordan 1 Low "World Make Japan" made its appearance! This one was also available via a three-minute raffle, exclusively in men's sizes. However, this AJ1 was an easy cop and is still available on the SNKRS app.
12:30 PM
After being postponed several times, it was finally this SNKRS Day that marked the release of the Nike Dunk Low "Vintage Navy"! It appeared via a raffle so that all fans of the model could try their luck.
1 PM
Unlike the previous year, only one livestream was organized on the SNKRS app today. It covered several topics and showcased multiple sneaker pairs with various footwear designers who worked on European exclusives. Nike took the opportunity to tease several models expected to release this year: the Dunk Low "Red Panda" inspired by red pandas, a two-tone Air Footscape Woven Brown, a V2K Run Neon Grey and a Dunk Low Cool Grey.
However, no pair dropped during this livestream, much to the disappointment of sneaker enthusiasts and viewers who tuned in.
The drops obviously continued after the livestream, and it was a Nike TN that joined the day's releases! For its 25th anniversary, the Nike Air Max Plus made an appearance on SNKRS Day with a "Pure Platinum" colorway via a three-minute raffle.
Almost at the same time, across the Channel, London's sneaker addicts got a SNKRS Stash to cop the highly anticipated Air Jordan 4 "Red Cement"!
As expected, the surprising Nike Air Footscape Woven "Cow Print" also appeared during a three-minute raffle at 3 PM. Originally designed in 2006, it features a ponyhair upper mimicking cowhide. A special edition that will appeal to rodeo fans!
4:30 PM
Originally released in the summer of 2020, the Nike Dunk Low "University Red" made its grand return via a surprise SNKRS Scratch! Nicknamed the St John, it is part of the 1985 "Be True to Your School" pack, designed by the legendary Peter Moore.
As a reminder, SNKRS Scratch is Nike's scratch card game: scratch an image and get exclusive access to purchase the pair!

SNKRS Day Wrap-Up
It is fair to say that the sneaker community's complaints were only partially heard on Nike's end! While we did get some more or less interesting releases, the lack of activity throughout the day was strongly felt. With only a 50-minute livestream as the sole event, it is hard to consider SNKRS Day 2023 a real success.
Physical activations took place in Munich (BSTN), Amsterdam (MAHA), Barcelona (Solebox) and London (SNS). A tough blow for France and its capital, which were left empty-handed with no event to celebrate the day as it deserves.
See you next year in 2024 to find out if our grievances have been taken into account!
