This fall, the legendary Amsterdam shop, founded by Edson Sabajo and Guillaume "Gee" Schmidt in 2004, makes its grand return to the sneaker scene, once again with Nike! After the six Air Max 1 editions unveiled as part of the Patta x Nike "The Wave" collaboration from 2021 to 2022, the Dutch brand is teaming up with FC Barcelona to unveil its new collection titled "Culers del Mon," a Catalan expression meaning "supporters from around the world."
Patta x FC Barcelona: The Return of an Icon
At Nike, 2023 marks the 25th anniversary of the Air Max Plus Tn, a legendary model highly popular in Europe. It was only natural for Patta to set its sights on Sean McDowell's design, incorporating the club's iconic colors: blue and garnet. Nicknamed "Blaugrana," this color combination found on the jerseys now appears on the mesh upper, complete with the signature gradient effect.
True to the OG spirit of the original 1998 colorways, the Patta x Nike Air Max Plus "FC Barcelona" still allows itself a few creative liberties! Starting with the two-tone swoosh duo on the panels and a special dubrae featuring the FC Barcelona logo. On the sole, you'll find the classic Tuned Air cushioning characterized by its orange air bubbles. And to top it all off, small aglets in the colors of the Catalan flag finalize the collaboration.
