At New Balance, revisiting the past has become a signature move. For several seasons now, the Boston brand has been having fun reinterpreting its iconic silhouettes. The latest silhouette to join the lineup is the New Balance 1906L. While mixing a loafer with a sneaker is still experimental territory, the emergence of a new interpretation of the New Balance 2000 is anything but trivial. This is where Quadro Creations (a Brazilian brand) steps in, taking advantage of its first fashion show to present its own take: the New Balance 2000S.

Here, the design breaks away from the technical aesthetic of the original model to embrace a more streamlined approach. The upper features a lighter mesh, complemented by reinforcements that add structure. Another notable evolution is the branding. The once-ubiquitous “N” logos have been replaced with more subtle signatures. The eyelets, meanwhile, become invisible, enhancing the desire to streamline the silhouette and give it a more futuristic dimension. However, the architecture remains true to its original DNA with a robust construction and an imposing Abzorb sole.

Two colorways accompany this launch: a classic gray, true to New Balance's codes, and a neon green, which is more experimental. As a reminder, the New Balance Abzorb 2000 was launched in the summer of 2025, designed as a technological showcase, alongside a New Balance 2010, rooted in a retro vibe. Supported by collaborations with Aminé and Joe Freshgoods, the silhouette quickly established itself as a standout piece in the catalog. No release date has been announced yet for the two 2000s, but they are expected to drop by the end of 2026.
